Catchment area

The Injury Register collects data in the emergency departments of 5 hospitals: Glostrup, Herlev, Frederikssund, Randers and Esbjerg. The population in the catchment areas of these hospitals constitutes a representative sample of approximately 17% of the Danish population. However, since 2007 the registration at Herlev Hospital has ceased. The coverage has consequently dropped to 12%.
