ProjectLeader:

Karin Helweg-Larsen, senior researcher

Description:

Data from the institute’s National Health Interview Survey from 2000 on self-reported violence victimisation, threats of violence and sexual abuse permits an analysis of gender differences with regard to violence victimisation, health and well-being.

Studies have indicated notable differences in self-reported health and well-being among male and female victims. In 2007, Vanitas Sundaram completed her PhD thesis on gender differences in victimisation.
