My research focuses on the social patterning on children and adolescens´health and health behaviours. For many years member of Adolsccent Health Research Unit at the University of Copenhagen, a research unit which moved to the National Institute of Public Health in November 2009.
Currently involved in five research pogrammes, 1) overweight and lifestyles, 2) risk behaviours, 3) healthy environments, 4) ethnic and social background, and 5) mental health.
Most of this research use data from the international research project Health Behavior in School-aged Children (HSBC), which comprises recurrent cross sectional studies of nationally representative 11-, 13-, and 15-years old school children.
Also involved in research on social factors´health influence over the life course.
