Research:

 

Main research interests: 1) adolescent health and behaviour,

2) social inequalities in health and 3) social gerontology.

 

Together with Dr. Pernille Due initiator and core member of the Adolescent Health Research Group at the University of Copen-

hagen since 1998; the group moved to the National Institute of Public Health at the University of Southern Denmark in Novem-

ber 2009.

 

The group has specialised in social epidemiological research on adolescents’ health (symptom load; asthma; overweight; inju-

ries), health behaviours (smoking, drinking, physical activity, fruit and vegetable intake, medicine use) and social conditions;

(social inequalities, the school experience, exposure to bullying, social relations).
