September 2001 - August 2004: Scientific Research Grant holder on the project “Genetic and environmental assessment of a mixed-model hybrid zone by hipervariable DNA and Geographical Information Systems” in the Centro de Investigação de Biodiversidade e Recursos Genéticos (CIBIO) – University of Porto in Vairão - Portugal.

March 2005 – March 2009: Guest researcher at Naturalis, Leiden, The Netherlands working within the Department of Zoology, with Dr. J.W. Arntzen.

July 2009 – January 2010: Post-doctoral researcher at the Population Biology group, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, working with Prof. Annette Kjær Ersbøll.

February 2010 – present: Post-doctoral researcher at the National Institute of Public Health, University of Southern Denmark, working with Prof. Annette Kjær Ersbøll.
