A new research center on prevention officially opened at the National Institute of Public Health in Copenhagen on June 4th. The name of the center is Trygfonden's Prevention Center. TrygFonden has donated 100 million DKR for research in health promotion and prevention.
So far the center has launched nine new research projects that focus on interventions. One of the projects investigates an intervention which aim is to make children and adolescents eat more fruit and vegetables. Other projects investigate hygiene in schools, interventions among alcohol misusers and smokers, and how to make children and adults more physical active.
